Our students are the future of dog training and the heart of our school.
That’s why we regularly take a moment to recognize one of our top aspiring trainers here.
Our Featured Student this month is Anthony Ricardi of Belchertown, Massachusetts. At the time of this posting, Tony is in Phase J of Basics Pro, and he is doing an impressive job with his studies.
A Word from Tony
My Favorite Recent Study Topics:
My favorite topics of study so far have been on body language, both human and dog alike. Understanding it, what it all means and how to use it has proven to be invaluable both in training and daily life alike.
My Favorite Recent Hands-On Activity:
My favorite activity so far has been developing lesson plans for specific behaviors. I really enjoy analyzing and troubleshooting specific behaviors to come up with a customized, dog specific, plan for success. Teaching and seeing clients successfully implementing your plan is so rewarding and fun. Not to mention how gratifying it is to see them enriching their relationship right there before your eyes.
How My Studies Have Changed the Way I See Dogs:
My experiences so far have totally changed the way I see things. There’s a much bigger picture than I ever knew and my experience so far has been nothing short of enlightening. From the early developmental stages of puppyhood to body language to behavioral problem solving. There is so much more to our beloved pets to understand, respect and love.
What I’m Most Excited About:
My learning here with CATCH has been great. With such a positive and supportive staff I feel I’ve definitely gained the knowledge, experience and confidence to make a positive impact in the lives of people and their pets.
Way to go, Tony, keep up the great work!
