The Team Behind Our Dog Trainer Programs
The dog trainer programs at CATCH Canine Trainers Academy are led by passionate dog lovers who jump at every chance they get to work with dogs, talk about dogs, and train dogs. The school’s founder, David Muriello, CPDT (Certified Professional Dog Trainer) is a Cornell University graduate who has appeared as a dog expert on ABC-TV’s Rachael Ray Show and in Dog Fancy Magazine.
As a longtime Director heading up a team of dog trainers for New York City’s biggest dog care business since 2005, David has extensive firsthand experience leading dog lovers into professional careers in dog training.
David is a longtime Professional Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and has been Certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers since 2004. He is also a national speaker for Petfinder and Petco, as well as a member of the Education Advisory Group for the APDT. David’s passion for leading our dog trainer program comes from the fact that he loves teaching people as much as he loves training dogs. He founded CATCH Canine Trainers Academy to share everything he has learned with aspiring dog trainers.
After leading an impressive training business in New York City for the past 7 years, David has gone back to his “garden state” roots and opened the head office for CATCH in New Jersey, the state he grew up in. He created the hands-on/distance learning format for CATCH to make it possible for dog lovers anywhere in the country to be able to graduate and become a Certified Dog Trainer through our Professional Dog Trainer Program. Our philosophy is to make self-paced learning hands-on and personal for every student. Our program is designed so that David and our team of Mentor Trainers can work closely with students to answer their questions, challenge them, give them feedback, and share with them the wisdom that comes from years of experience training dogs.
